"I believe that life is bland. I bring the cayenne."

Casie Tennin

Casie Tennin grew up in Bergen County New Jersey, right outside of Manhattan.  While her Jersey roots lends itself to the title of a "Jersey Girl," her heart belongs in New York City. Driven by the high energy and fast paced essence of the Big Apple, she carries this same energy into every endeavor she takes on; from her studies at Penn State, to her drive to succeed in the creative marketing industry.

Her desire to flourish in corporate communications was sparked during her senior year of High School. She conceptualized, organized and marketed a fashion show fundraising event, the "Femme Mystique Fashion Show," which raised $7,500 for Bergen County's Shelter Our Sisters.  After reflecting on the success of the event, she realized the power of communications: the power to spread words, give people enjoyment through entertainment, and make a difference in the world while doing so.

Casie is now a Senior at Penn State in the Schreyer Honors College, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in International Studies. After studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina she has also picked up Spanish. She currently uses her new linguistic skills to spark conversations with every native Spanish speaker she comes across. She spends the rest of her free time Salsa Dancing as a member of the Ballroom Dance Club, playing tennis, and eating FroYo... lots of it.

While she will deeply miss Penn State after quickly approaching graduation in May 2014, she cannot wait to use the skills that she has learned thus far, and apply them to new and exciting opportunities in the future- From State College, to New York City and beyond.
